Cut-price ticket deal for Front Page Fight Sports fans
In what will represent the biggest-name appearance by a professional wrestler in Thailand, Japanese legend Tajiri will compete at SETUP Episode 14 in Bangkok on July 22 – and Front Page Fight Sports readers can witness all the action with a 15% discount on ticket prices!
Tajiri is well known and respected in both the east and west, having fought for the biggest brands in Asia and North America, including title-winning tenures with All Japan, Big Japan, IWA, CZW, MLW, CZW and his iconic run with the original ECW. Most impressively, he has twice been a major player on the WWE roster, with whom he held seven championships.
Possessing a formidable blend of speed, experience, durability, technique and a vicious streak, it would be both a risk and an honour to face Tajiri in the ring. So, who will do so?
Young stars to fight for right to meet ring legend
While SETUP is a relatively new promotion on the world stage, it is also one of the fastest-rising and improving wrestling brands, and as such the securing of Tajiri’s services is a statement of intent – but one that requires a dance partner who can rise to such a big occasion.
Accordingly, the man chosen to face Tajiri will have to truly earn what could be a life-changing opportunity – and so recent champions Shivam and Monomoth will collide in a fight for the right to headline Ep.14 against the best wrestler to ever grace a Thai ring.
Shivam defeated Monomoth last August in an AWGC title defence that many fans proclaimed a “five star” affair. It was a match that solidified Shivam’s position as one of the promotion’s standard bearers, and even in defeat Monomoth was confirmed as a main-even talent.
Fans have clamoured for a rematch ever since, and now that it will come to pass at Episode 13 on May 20, it carries with it stakes that are arguably bigger than any championship – a dream shot at defeating an immortal.
Tajiri has done it all – except wrestle in Thailand
Tajiri will relish the prospect of testing his proven prowess against either man, as both represent the best of rising Asian talent.
It will be a classic crossroads match. Tajiri is certainly on the veteran side of the curve, but will argue that he has forgotten more than either Shivam or Monomoth has ever known, fought for companies that his young challengers have so far only dreamt of, and won more belts than most wrestlers could count.
And yet, Father Time forgives nobody, and so after a nearly 30-year career, might Tajiri finally be vulnerable to a changing of the guard, resulting in the elevation of a new Asian superstar?
Shivam and Monomoth now head into Ep. 13 on the verge of the most important chapter of both their careers. Their rematch alone would be crucial under any circumstances, but with the prize for victory now that much bigger, expect a truly epic affair at Circus Studio.
And then the winner will return two months later to lock up with a legend.
From the ultra-violent playgrounds of CZW, ECW and Big Japan, to the grandest stage of them all at WWE, Tajiri has seen and done it all in wrestling. And yet he has never fought in Thailand.
The groundbreaking SETUP once again delivers another piece of history for the Kingdom’s wrestling fans.
And you can witness it for yourself with a 15% discount on tickets. Just book via Ticketmelon and enter the promocode “frontpage”. But be quick! VIP and ringside tickets sold out in just days, so what’s left will be in very short supply.
