PR deal with fast-rising mixed-sport promotion

Ahead of its third event, scheduled for May 14, South East Asia Fighting Championship (SEA FC) has chosen Front Page Fight Sports to handle its press and PR.

SEA FC was founded in Bangkok in 2021 by Nicholas Lee, former ONE Championship veteran and owner of Yorky MMA, in partnership with Paolo Vettore of Martial Arts Thailand.

The brand debuted on Halloween night last year, with its inaugural promotion, Underground, forging ahead despite coronavirus restrictions being in place.

Rising from the Underground

While Underground took place behind closed doors, the event was available to view online and attracted rave reviews.

It was inevitable, then, that once restrictions lifted, crowds would flock to SEA FC’s second installment, Destroy Everything, a seven-fight spectacular emanating from The Bazaar Hotel in Bangkok on March 21.

With the cheers still ringing in their ears and the post-show buzz still resonating online, Lee and Vettore quickly turned their attentions to the future.

Fight Night III will now take place on May 14 at The Ambassador Hotel – one of Thailand’s ancestral combat sports venues, right in the heart of downtown Bangkok.

A fight for every kind of fan

SEA FC’s method has its roots in ONE Championship, where Lee made his name as an active competitor, and Dogfights Boxing & MMA, his first promotion, which ran from 2016-2018.

Both brands moved away from the single-sport style that was previously the norm for martial arts promotions, offering multiple disciplines in one ring to please fans of all kinds.

SEA FC is continuing in this vein, with its three shows to date serving up boxing, MMA, kickboxing, muay Thai and grappling matches, in both the professional and amateur codes.

It is a format that has so far proved popular and looks likely to continue to do so as Thailand’s fight fans and athletes alike emerge from lockdowns with a keen appetite for action.

About the deal

As the exclusive PR partner of SEA FC, Front Page Fight Sports will provide event coverage, athlete bios, press releases and more, with our editorial services perfectly complementing the unrivalled video presentation of Martial Arts Thailand. We are excited to team up with this exciting young brand and hope to grow together.
