Venue The Ambassador Hotel, Sukhumvit Soi 11, Bangkok, Thailand
Date July 9, 2022
Thailand Boxing Championship (TBC) launches on July 9, boasting an array of talent from around the world all promising to take the amateur sport to the next level.
Western boxing has surged in popularity in Thailand in recent years, with homegrown world champions and Olympians as well as a number of foreign pros basing themselves in the kingdom.
TBC has been inspired by this wave of momentum and seeks to capitalise by bridging the gap between the amateur and professional codes by elevating standards with longer bouts, smaller gloves and high-level matchmaking.
July 9 will see the launch of TBC with an absolutely stacked card of 50-50 matches staged in one of Bangkok’s traditional fight sports venues, the Ambassador Hotel, and with the backing of top boxing brand Twins Special and The Box, Thailand’s leading western boxing gym.
As well as a night full of high-quality boxing action, fans will have the chance to meet a true legend of the sport, as Australia’s three-weight world champion Jeff Fenech will be the guest of honour.
