About The Box has, since its inception in May 2019, grown into one of the most respected and successful western boxing gyms in the Thai capital, attracting a diverse international clientele – and even the heavyweight champion of the world!
When Tyson Fury toured Thailand in 2023 and wanted to keep up with his training, The Box was his first port of call while in Bangkok. There can be no greater validation of this young brand than that, given the size of the city and the numerous alternatives. But Fury, along with his friend and gym-mate Isaac Lowe (former Commonwealth and English titleholder) were just the latest in a list of world-rated pros to train at The Box. Others have included Australian contenders Steve Spark and Brock Jarvis, European champion Terry Le Couviour and veteran heavyweight Senad Gashi.
The Box also has a stacked stable of its own competitive talents, with rising pros and standout amateurs on the books, and stages its own regular fight nights in association with XBC Sportech. A frequent visitor to the gym and events is none other than legendary multi-weight champion Jeff Fenech, who will sing the praises of both to anybody who will listen.
