Too often, stricken fighters are forgotten as they attempt to rebuild damaged lives away from the rings and TV cameras. ROB strives to ensure these proud competitors are remembered at their best, to raise awareness of the risks they faced and the consequences they endured, and to improve their lives and outcomes.
Lisa McClellan knows better than anyone the highs and lows of boxing. Her brother, Gerald “G Man” McClellan, was one of the finest fighters of the 1990s, and one of the great middleweight champions. But in 1995 he suffered catastrophic injuries in the ring, and he has been dependent on Lisa’s care ever since.
But she is made of firm fighting stuff, too, and has never given up trying to find ways to help not only her brother, but all athletes who have fallen on hard times. In Ring Of Brotherhood, her efforts have led to a visible entity, and one which will harness the power of multimedia to tell the compelling stories the sports world needs to hear.
