Bio Uprooted from his native Philippines in the midst of high school, Rockie Bactol was a shy, polite foreigner in his new home of Bangkok, Thailand. His unassuming nature made him a target for bullies, but this fired in the 14-year-old Bactol a fierce drive and a lifelong passion: martial arts.
“God’s Warrior” immediately grabbed attention with a sizzling undefeated and title-winning streak through the amateur MMA ranks before turning pro in 2018 and quickly earning a place on the coveted ONE Championship roster.
Bactol has also competed for the SEA FC, FMD, BKK and TFC promotions, among others. While MMA is his primary sport, this popular and exciting (and no longer shy!) young talent has shown his versatility by also accepting challenges in boxing (gloved and bareknuckle), muay Thai, BJJ and even a couple of gimmick matches in the notorious Fight Circus.
