Bio Po Denman is often referred to as the busiest woman in combat sports. It seems rarely a month goes by when she’s not seen in a ring fighting in whatever format has an opportunity going.
She has competed in three codes of boxing – amateur, pro and bareknuckle – as well as muay Thai and the unforgiving leth wei, loosely defined as “bareknuckle muay Thai with headbutts”.
Despite the brutality of these forms of combat, Po competes with poise and grace – and much more often than not, she wins.
Not bad for a former university student who had never even dreamed of fighting until she took on a charity boxing match purely out of curiosity and to raise money for a dog shelter. She then fell in love with combat sports and hasn’t looked back since.
While Po will fight under seemingly any rule set, it is pro boxing in which she has excelled, amassing an impressive 17-1-1 record, challenging for a WBC title and closing in on a world ranking at super-flyweight.
Accolades WBC International title challenger, PFN title challenger, competed in four sports
