Bio Few fighters have mastered both grappling and striking quite like Fadi Issa. The Syrian strongman is just as at home on the floor or on his feet, applying holds or throwing bombs. The evidence of this is in a record that boasts equal levels of success in both forms.
Issa’s first love is judo, and that is the sport he has truly excelled in, being three times crowned champion of his country, as well as once as ruler of Thailand.
He spent four years in Thailand after moving there to raise his family in safety after war broke out back home, and took that opportunity to further his combative portfolio.
After compiling undefeated records in kickboxing and MMA in addition to his judo successes, Issa branched out further in Thailand by competing in a series of boxing matches and earning a black belt in taekwondo.
After returning to Syria for a few years once it was safe to do so, where he established himself as a leading martial arts coach, Issa regained the urge to compete.
To launch his comeback, Issa has moved to Indonesia, where he has reaped a haul of further judo medals and added jujutsu to his black belt collection, and secured work as an MMA, grappling, muay Thai and kickboxing coach.
